Navi Mumbai International Airport has announced the commencement of scheduled freighter services by AFCOM Cargo between Navi Mumbai and Dubai World Central, effective August 16, 2026. The airline will operate three weekly freighter services, with each flight carrying up to 20 tonnes of cargo, strengthening NMIA’s connectivity with the West Asia and global markets.
The new operation provides a reliable freighter link on the India-West Asia trade corridor, offering exporters, importers, freight forwarders and logistics providers additional dedicated air cargo capacity. With Dubai serving as a major global logistics and transhipment hub, the connection will provide onward access to markets across the GCC, Africa, Europe and beyond.
The service will support the movement of time-sensitive and export-oriented cargo, including general cargo, e-commerce shipments, engineering goods, pharmaceuticals and perishables.
With modern cargo infrastructure and integrated logistics support, NMIA is well positioned to facilitate efficient cargo handling and turnaround, further strengthening its role as a key cargo gateway for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Western India.
