Changi Airport, SF Group Sign MoU for First Overseas Hub

Changi Airport Group (CAG) and Shenzhen S.F. Taisen Holding (SF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Strategic Collaboration to develop Changi Airport as SF’s first overseas hub. This marks a significant milestone in SF’s international expansion plans and augments Changi Airport’s express cargo capacity and network.

The five-year MoU is a strategic partnership that underscores SF’s long-term commitment to Singapore. It will deepen Singapore’s role as a value-creating air logistics hub, supporting high-value cargo flows and the evolving needs of regional and international supply chains through Changi Airport.

Under the MoU, CAG and SF will capitalise on Asia Pacific’s long-term economic growth, particularly the rapidly expanding air trade within the region, and between the region and the rest of the world. The partnership will leverage Singapore’s strategic location and Changi Airport’s role as a global consolidation and transshipment hub.

Changi Airport will serve as SF’s first overseas hub, covering regions such as Southeast Asia, South Asia and Oceania. This effort will be supported by the growth of SF’s network at Changi Airport, progressively strengthening connectivity with major markets in these regions.

Mr Yam Kum Weng, CAG’s Chief Executive Officer said, “We are delighted that SF Group has selected Changi Airport as its first overseas hub, marking an exciting milestone for both organisations. CAG looks forward to supporting SF Group as it expands its air connectivity and logistics capabilities at Changi. This strong partnership brings together the best of both networks and expertise, enabling us to move more high value and time critical goods seamlessly across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.”

Mr Dick Wong, SF Group’s Chairman, Executive Director and General Manager, said, “Singapore is a key node in SF’s global expansion strategy. Through deeper cooperation with CAG, SF will further optimise its resources across the Southeast Asia, South Asia and Oceania regions. Building on Singapore’s strong connectivity and partnership ecosystem, we are committed to providing more competitive cross-border logistics solutions to global customers and creating greater value for customers amid a complex and rapidly changing global trade environment.”
