Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) welcomed the Antonov An-124 ‘Ruslan’, one of the world’s largest production cargo aircraft and a Code F wide-bodied freighter. Arriving from Abu Dhabi with approximately 46 tonnes of cargo, the aircraft’s visit highlights NMIA’s capability to handle large, specialised freighters and support complex cargo operations. Known for its unique nose-loading capability, the An-124 is designed to transport heavy and oversized consignments, further demonstrating NMIA’s readiness to cater to diverse and specialised air cargo requirements.
