Brussels Airport recorded a robust performance in cargo traffic in 2025, with a total of 795,000 tonnes of freight, marking an 8.5% increase compared to 2024. The growth reflects global trends in logistics and trade.
The volume of cargo carried on passenger flights grew, up 9.2%, supported by the expansion of intercontinental passenger routes. Express services saw an even sharper increase of 22.3%, while full cargo flights experienced a modest rise of 0.8%. In contrast, trucked cargo volumes declined by 6.7%.
Asia, Africa, and North America remained the main regions for imports, while exports were dominated by Asia, followed by North America and Africa.
Despite some fluctuations in December, when total cargo fell by 6.6% to 65,000 tonnes compared with December 2024, the overall annual figures underline Brussels Airport’s continuing strength as a major European cargo hub.
