DSV names Delta Cargo its 2026 “Sustainable Airline Partner of the Year”

DSV has recognised Delta Cargo as its 2026 Sustainable Airline Partner of the Year, acknowledging the airline’s collaboration with DSV and its innovative approach to supporting the development of more sustainable air freight solutions.

This award is part of DSV’s Sustainable Partnership Programme, which was launched in 2024 with its top 30 airline partners to support decarbonisation of air freight. The programme provides a framework for DSV and participating airlines to work together on emissions transparency, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and other initiatives related to the decarbonisation of air freight.

Delta Cargo was selected as the 2026 awarddsv recipient based on its progress across several areas important to Scope 3 emissions, including SAF-related initiatives, fleet renewal, climate ambitions and transparency on what can currently be delivered at scale. Combined with a responsive and solutions-oriented way of working, this has made Delta Cargo a valuable partner in advancing more sustainable air freight with DSV.

“Delta Cargo has shown strong commitment to advancing more sustainable air freight. Their engagement on SAF and openness around the opportunities and limitations of decarbonising aviation have helped strengthen our collaboration and support a more informed dialogue with customers. This makes Delta Cargo a strong recipient of DSV’s 2026 Sustainable Airline Partner of the Year award,” says Stefan Krikken, Senior Vice President, Global Air Product.

The partnership between DSV and Delta Cargo also continued to develop commercially during 2026, with the companies securing one of their largest SAF agreements to date and agreeing to continue their collaboration in the coming years. This provides a strong foundation for the two companies to explore further opportunities to combine commercial cooperation with progress on their shared decarbonisation ambitions.

"We're proud to be recognized by DSV, especially as we continue to strengthen and expand our commercial partnership. Our relationship is built on a shared focus on our customers, long-term growth, and a commitment to making meaningful progress on sustainability. We look forward to building on that foundation together," said Peter Penseel, President, Delta Cargo.

While decarbonising air freight remains a complex, long-term challenge, DSV believes close collaboration across the aviation value chain will be essential to making progress. Through its Sustainable Partnership Programme, DSV will continue working with airline partners, with the aim of supporting measurable progress towards lower-emission air freight.
